Home · Non-Surgical Facelift in Bali — What It Can an
Energy-based lifting produces a real improvement in firmness and definition. It does not remove skin. Knowing which problem you have is the difference between a good result and a wasted one.

“Non-surgical facelift” is a phrase used to sell several different treatments, so it is worth stating what it can and cannot mean.
It can mean a genuine, visible improvement in the firmness and definition of the lower face, achieved by heating tissue so that collagen contracts and remodels. It cannot mean removing skin. Nothing delivered through the surface of the skin removes excess tissue — only surgery does that.
Expect a softening of the jawline, better definition along the mandible, and firmer-looking skin over about three months as collagen remodels. Expect that to be visible to you and to people who know you well, and not dramatic in photographs taken from across a room.
Patients who are disappointed by non-surgical lifting usually fall into one of three groups: they had significant skin excess and needed surgery; they were under-dosed to keep the session cheap; or they assessed the result at two weeks instead of three months.
Monopolar radiofrequency is generally avoided with a pacemaker or implanted electronic device, during pregnancy, over active infection in the area, and over the thyroid and vocal cord region. Energy is reduced over recently injected areas and over tissue previously treated with HIFU or liposuction, which dissipates heat less efficiently. Melasma requires a modified approach.
Will it work on your face — honestly?
Send a photograph. dr. Jesslyn will tell you what is realistic, including if the honest answer is that you would be better served by a surgical opinion.

There is no single best option — it depends on whether laxity is diffuse or focal, and whether the face has descended or deflated. XERF suits diffuse lower-face laxity; HIFU suits discrete focal descent; injectable support suits volume loss. Assessment by a dermatologist establishes which applies.
Does a non-surgical facelift really work?
It produces a genuine but modest improvement in firmness and definition over about three months. It does not remove excess skin. If there is significant skin excess, only surgery addresses it.
How long do the results last?
Typically measured in months, with repeat treatment at intervals rather than weeks. Duration depends on age, skin quality, sun exposure and lifestyle.
Is it painful?
XERF is generally described as deep warmth and is usually well tolerated. HIFU is often described as sharper. Comfort varies across the face, particularly over nerve pathways and bony prominences.
How soon can I fly after treatment?
Energy-based tightening has minimal to no downtime and most patients return to normal activity the same day. Confirm your specific plan at consultation.
Who should not have it?
Anyone with a pacemaker or implanted electronic device, during pregnancy, or with active infection in the treatment area. Energy is reduced over recently injected areas and previously treated HIFU or liposuction sites.
