Skeyndor facials are professional cosmetic skincare treatments. They are not a medical procedure, not a device treatment, and not a treatment for any medical skin condition. If you have acne, melasma, rosacea or another diagnosed condition, that needs a dermatology consultation and a medical plan — a facial is not a substitute, though it may sit comfortably alongside one.
Skeyndor is a Spanish professional skincare house, founded in 1966 and based in Terrassa, near Barcelona, with products sold in more than fifty countries. Elea Clinic uses the professional protocols as a comfort and skin-quality service selected by dr. Jesslyn to complement clinical treatment — not to replace it.
A cosmetic facial will not clear active acne, will not resolve melasma, and will not tighten laxity. Any clinic in Bali that tells you otherwise is overselling. The ingredient classes used in professional skincare — retinoids, vitamin C, niacinamide, hydroxy acids, sunscreen filters — do have genuine dermatological evidence behind them. The evidence supports those ingredients; it does not make a facial a medical treatment.

Skeyndor products are cosmetics. In the European Union cosmetics are notified rather than approved, under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. In Indonesia they carry a BPOM notification number, which is a market-entry compliance step and not an efficacy endorsement. We mention this because “BPOM registered” is often presented as though it meant a product had been proven to work. It does not.
Is a Skeyndor facial a medical treatment?
No. It is a professional cosmetic skincare treatment. It is not a medical procedure and is not a treatment for any diagnosed skin condition. Medical conditions need a dermatology consultation.
Will a facial clear my acne?
No. Active acne needs medical treatment — topical or oral prescription therapy planned by a dermatologist. A facial may help with comfort and hydration alongside that plan, but it will not treat the condition.
Who performs the treatment?
Skeyndor protocols are delivered by trained aestheticians. dr. Jesslyn selects which protocols the clinic offers and advises where a cosmetic treatment is appropriate, but does not perform facials herself.
Is Skeyndor clinically proven?
There is no peer-reviewed clinical literature on the Skeyndor brand itself. The ingredient classes used in professional skincare do have dermatological evidence. We think that distinction is worth being clear about.
Can I have a facial around other treatments?
Often yes, but timing matters — particularly after laser, injectables or any treatment that has disrupted the skin barrier. Ask at consultation and we will sequence it properly.
